Attorney Richard C. Marquette is the managing partner of Goldblatt, Marquette
& Rashba, P.C. Attorney Marquette received his J.D. from the University
of Virginia in 1989 where he was an editor for the Virginia Tax Review.
He is also a graduate of the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College. His educational
background spans not just the law but includes a B.S. in Accounting from
New York University and an M.B.A from the New York University Graduate
School of Business. Attorney Marquette is also a Certified Public Accountant,
and a certified mediator for the Southern District of New York.
After graduating from law school, Attorney Marquette spent many years working
for large, high-power law firms where he sharpened his skills as a lawyer
and learned how to navigate the legal system. Over the last 30 years of
practice, Attorney Marquette has gained tremendous experience as a trial
attorney, and has argued a multitude of cases in state and federal courts.
Attorney Marquette has established himself as a respected mediator and
negotiator, and he uses those skills to maximize the benefits for his
clients. In addition to his skills as a negotiator, Attorney Marquette
possesses a wealth of knowledge about a variety of legal practices, and
has significant courtroom experience. He is a seasoned attorney in the
areas of corporate and business law, personal litigation, civil and criminal
defense, and appellate work. He has argued cases in the Connecticut Superior,
Appellate and Supreme Courts. He has also argued cases in New York, and
in the Federal District and Appellate Court. He is currently licensed
to practice law in both Connecticut and New York.
